Massive cocaine trafficking operation smashed by police

Policia Nacional, working with Guardia Civil and the Customs Surveillance Service, has dismantled a major cocaine trafficking organisation operating along the Costa da Morte in Galicia. More than 1.6 tonnes of cocaine was seized as the drugs were being unloaded from a high-speed boat at Arnela beach in Muxía, A Coruña. Twenty-six people were arrested, including a member of the Guardia Civil, and a revolver was also seized. The investigation, which began in 2025, remains open.
