No AVE service between Málaga and Madrid during Easter

Renfe has confirmed that there will be no AVE service between Málaga and Madrid during the Semana Santa holiday period.

The high‑speed line remains closed after storm damage caused a retaining wall to collapse onto the tracks in Álora.

Travellers will instead be transported by bus to Antequera before connecting with long‑distance trains to the capital.

The disruption is expected to continue until at least late April, and the tourism sector warns the closure could affect one of the busiest weeks of the year.
