La Caixa and CriteriaCaixa Move Headquarters Back to Barcelona

La Caixa Bank has confirmed it’s plans to relocate its headquarters to Barcelona after seven years of being in Palma de Mallorca.

This move involves both La Caixa and CriteriaCaixa and reflects what the financial business says is it’s “commitment to its roots”.

Economic leaders view this decision as a positive sign for Catalonia following a trend of companies returning to the region after the 2017 political unrest surrounding the independence referendum.
