Guardia Civil ends search for “lion”

Guardia Civil has suspended its search for a suspected lion in the Sierra de San Vicente, Toledo, after a day and a half of searches.

Officers used a helicopter, drones and ground patrols after a delivery driver reported seeing what he believed was a large feline.

No evidence of a lion or other large feline has been found, and there have been no further reported sightings.

Guardia Civil says the search could be resumed if new information emerges.
