Inflation rises 3.6% in July
The latest figures from Spain’s National Statistics Institute show annual inflation rose to 3.6 percent in July, four tenths higher than in June.
Core inflation, which excludes unprocessed food and energy, increased to three percent.
Transport prices rose particularly sharply, with the annual rate reaching 6.2 percent, while housing prices increased by 5.7 percent, driven partly by electricity costs.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.3 percent.
