Labour market continues in strength according to latest figures

The government says Spain’s labour market has continued to strengthen, with registered unemployment falling again during July.

The Ministry of Labour says the number of people out of work has dropped to its lowest level for the month in many years, while Social Security affiliation remains close to record highs.

Ministers say the figures reflect the resilience of the Spanish economy despite ongoing international uncertainty, although they acknowledge that challenges remain in areas including youth employment and access to housing.
