Two arrested in connection to massive wild fires

Guardia Civil has arrested two people in connection with the major Almorox wildfire in the province of Toledo, which burned thousands of hectares and threatened nearby communities last month.

Investigators believe the fire was started through alleged negligence during agricultural work, although the exact circumstances remain under judicial investigation.

The blaze formed part of the series of major wildfires that affected central Spain during July, prompting large-scale evacuations and a national emergency response.
