Supreme Court applies amnesty law to eight individuals
The Supreme Court has applied the Amnesty Law to eight people convicted of offences linked to the 2017 Catalan independence process.
The ruling covers convictions for disobedience and public disorder, bringing those cases to an end under the legislation approved by Parliament last year.
However, the court has maintained that the law does not apply to all offences connected with the independence movement, meaning several high-profile cases remain subject to ongoing legal proceedings.
