PM holds planning meeting ahead of solar eclipse
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has chaired a meeting of the government’s commission coordinating preparations for the three solar eclipses that will cross Spain between 2026 and 2028.
Ministers reviewed plans covering public safety, transport, emergency services and tourism ahead of what is expected to be one of the largest scientific and visitor events in the country’s recent history.
The first total solar eclipse will be visible across much of northern Spain next month, with millions of visitors expected to travel to observe the phenomenon safely.
