1 in 4 crimes occur online according to official data
The Ministry of the Interior says cybercrime now accounts for almost one in every four recorded offences in Spain.
New figures released by the ministry show online fraud remains the most common cyber offence, while reports of cybercrime have continued to increase over recent years.
Officials say greater public awareness and improved reporting systems have contributed to the rise in recorded cases.
The government has pledged further investment in specialist policing units and public awareness campaigns aimed at tackling online crime and protecting internet users.
