Four arrested for large‑scale use of false documentation

The National Police have arrested four suspected members of a transnational organised‑crime group accused of using large quantities of forged documents.

Investigators say the group specialised in producing high‑quality fake passports, ID cards and driving licences for criminal networks operating across Europe.

Searches carried out in several provinces led to the seizure of printers, templates and digital equipment used to manufacture the documents.

Police say the operation forms part of wider efforts to disrupt organised crime linked to identity fraud.
