Sánchez urges EU to suspend its agreement with Israel within 48 hours

Pedro Sánchez has called on the European Union to suspend its Association Agreement with Israel within 48 hours, arguing that the bloc cannot continue “business as usual” in light of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the escalation in Lebanon.

Speaking during a campaign event, the prime minister said the EU must act decisively when human rights obligations embedded in the agreement are at risk.

He insisted that Spain will continue pressing for a coordinated European response and warned that failure to act would undermine the EU’s credibility on the international stage.
