Government approves new aid for freight transport to offset fuel costs

The Government has approved a new package of support measures for the freight‑transport sector to help offset the rising cost of fuel.

The plan includes direct aid for companies, incentives to modernise fleets and funding to promote more sustainable logistics.

The Transport Ministry says the measures are designed to protect supply chains and prevent cost pressures from being passed on to consumers.

Sector representatives have welcomed the move but say long‑term reforms are still needed to guarantee stability.
