PSOE requests pause to Kitchen case trial over new suspects

PSOE has asked the Audiencia Nacional to suspend the start of the Kitchen case trial and to reinstate María Dolores de Cospedal and her husband as defendants.

The party argues that new evidence — including audio recordings and internal police reports — was never properly examined, and says the case cannot begin while what it considers key material remains unassessed.

The socialists also want the Partido Popular to be investigated as a legal entity.

The court will now decide whether to accept the request or allow the trial to open as scheduled.
