Updated framework for housing approved by parliament

Congress has approved the government’s updated framework for housing‑rehabilitation aid.

The plan revises the criteria for accessing subsidies and aims to speed up renovation works, improve energy efficiency and support urban renewal.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda says the new scheme will help families modernise older buildings, reduce energy use and support the construction sector.

The government also sees the programme as a key part of Spain’s climate‑transition goals.
