Sánchez urges Congress to back government’s war‑response measures

Pedro Sánchez has urged MPs to back the government’s measures responding to the war in the Middle East.

During yesterday’s control session in Congress, he said Spain needs political unity at what he called an exceptionally difficult moment internationally.

Sánchez highlighted what he says are around 24 billion euros in energy‑bill savings linked to the green transition, and noted that regional governments have received roughly 300 billion euros more in transfers since he took office.

He also defended the current defence‑spending path and reminded Vox that healthcare is fully devolved to the autonomous communities.
