Sagrada Família Becomes World’s Tallest Church

The Sagrada Família in Barcelona has officially become the tallest church in the world, reaching one hundred and sixty-two point nine-one metres in height.

The record was set when workers placed part of the cross atop its central tower, surpassing Germany’s Ulm Minster.

Designed by Antoni Gaudí, the church has been under construction for over a century, with completion expected next year.
