Pedro Sánchez Defends Family Amid Legal Controversy

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has publicly defended his family during a press conference in New York, asserting their innocence in a number of cases involving allegations of public fund misappropriation.

He stated that the time will reveal the truth, following the proposal by Judge Juan Carlos Peinado for a jury trial regarding his wife, Begoña Gómez, and Tuesday’s summoning of his brother David to stand trial on similar charges.

All deny any wrongdoing.

Mr. Sanchez was in New York to take part in the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
