European Parliament Moves to Lift Immunity from MEP Alvise Pérez Following Supreme Court Request

The European Parliament has begun proceedings to lift the parliamentary immunity of Member of the European Parliament Alvise Pérez.

This follows a request from the Supreme Court regarding alleged electoral offences and irregular party funding.

The committee responsible will review the case before a vote is held by the full Parliament.

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, announced this development during a plenary session held in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
