Congress to Vote on Labour Reform Amid Tension

The Congress of Deputies will debate and vote on Wednesday over proposed amendments from the Partido Popular, Vox, and Junts regarding the reduction of the weekly working hours to thirty-seven and a half hours.

The three parties hold an absolute majority, which could jeopardise the flagship project of Vice President Yolanda Díaz.

Political negotiations are intensifying ahead of this crucial vote, it’s understood if Junts withdraws its amendment and supports the government, the bill will likely advance unhindered.
