A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela are set to introduce a tourist tax in September and October respectively.
The tax will range from one to two and a half euros per night, supporting sustainable tourism and enhancing public services in the region.
Some groups, such as children and hospital patients, will be exempt.
Similar initiatives have already been in place in regions such as Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
