Investigation Requested into Minister Bolaños

The government’s chief of staff – Félix Bolaños – is to face investigation by Supreme Court judge Juan Carlos Peinado on suspicion of misappropriation and false testimony in the Begoña Gómez case.

During a press conference in the Congress of Deputies, Bolaños said he was expecting to be fully exonerated in the investigation, declaring his trust in the capabilities of the Supreme Court to arrive at a balanced ruling.

Government members have offered their support for Mr. Bolaños, claiming his actions under investigation were appropriate and legal.
