Prime Minister Announces New Marine Protected Areas

Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, has declared plans to create five new marine protected areas, increasing Spain’s protected marine regions to twenty five point seven percent of the nations coasts.

This surpasses the government’s twenty five percent target set for this year.

His remarks came during the United Nations Oceans Conference in Nice, where he also pledged eight point five million euros to the Mediterranean Blue Fund.
