Juan Lobato Resigns as Secretary General of Madrid’s PSOE

The head of the regional PSOE for Madrid – Juan Lobato – has resigned.

His departure comes amid an ongoing scandal over leaks related to the partner of the regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

In a letter addressed to party members, Lobato explained that his decision aims to halt the growing division within the party that could harm PSOE’s progress.

Following the announcement, it was confirmed that PSOE will now seek a new regional leader, with a local ballot expected in the coming weeks.
