Prosecutor Again Calls for Begoña Gómez Case to Be Closed Due to Lack of Evidence

The state prosecutor has again requested that the case against Begoña Gómez be closed, arguing that there is still no evidence of criminal activity.

The Fiscalía maintains that the accusations — centred on alleged influence‑peddling and business links — are unsupported, and that the complainants have not provided documentation to justify keeping the investigation open.

Despite this, the private accusations insist the case should continue and have submitted new requests for information.

The judge will now decide whether to accept the prosecutor’s position or allow proceedings to continue.
