Rising Travel Spending in Spain: Euros Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven Per Person

Residents in Spain have increased both their travel and spending during the second quarter of 2025 compared to last year, with average expenditure per person reaching €327.

The total spending on trips between April and June surged to 15.2 billion euros according to data from the National Statistics Institute.

Although the number of trips in the second quarter still has not returned to pre-pandemic levels—when over fifty million trips were recorded—the current total expenditure exceeds that of 2019 by three point eight million euros.
