La Palma has experienced a power outage yesterday affecting over fifty thousand users.
The outage, caused by a failure at the Los Guinchos power plant, left the island without electricity for two hours.
The power failure occurred at five thirty-two local time due to the shutdown of generation turbines, plunging the island into a complete power outage.
The Canary Islands Government activated their Emergency Plan to manage the situation, despite no major incidents reported.
